LHorsley is a Seattle born artist who’s based in St. Louis, Missouri. She received her BFA from University of Washington in 1971 and MFA from Northwestern University in 1977.

Horsley’s extensive history of travel has taken her artwork across the globe. These earlier works were signed under married name, L. Horsley-Nunley. She’s performed one-woman shows at the Freetown American Embassy in Sierra Leone and Trinidad gallery, and has had work displayed in shows at Reflects Arts in New York and an invitational show in Ferrara, Italy.

In St. Louis LHorsley was the “Exhibit and Event Coordinator” for the City Museum of St. Louis for 7 years, where there are examples of her artwork in“cave paintings”. She also taught studio classes in two St. Louis colleges.

In 2002 she published a limited edition Adult Fable book which she wrote and illustrated in oil paint called “Nature’s Play”. She also illustrated a book written by M.Gordon called “Dancer, the Little Dog from Mayaro Beach”.

In 2004 she moved back to her hometown of Seattle and taught at Cornish College of the Arts and the Art Institute of Seattle. There she completed several commissions for the Seattle Downtown Association and the Pike Place Market’s 100th Anniversary in Seattle, in addition to being an active member of Gallery110 for 10 years.

In St. Louis LHorsley made metal sculptures for “First Night” for three consecutive years. Today she owns her gallery HORSLEYARTS located in the Central West End.
